Yannik Baurain leads product development, design optimisation, and the integration of advanced manufacturing processes into FlowGen’s decentralised energy solutions.

With a strong background in lightweight construction and composite engineering, as well as extensive experience in supplier management and industrialisation, Yannik brings more than a decade of experience in both industry and academia to his role.

Before joining FlowGen, Yannik spent eight years at C-CON GmbH in Munich, where he held various management positions – from head of development for carbon prepreg moulds and production manager for aerospace and automotive components to head of the composites division. In collaboration with BMW, he developed a new manufacturing technology for the series production of fibre composite components and implemented robust quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001 and IATF 16949 standards. His focus on process optimisation, supplier development and scalable production helped to grow his teams and strengthen long-term customer relationships.

At FlowGen Development & Management, Yannik is responsible for the planning and construction of complex renewable energy systems. His work focuses on continuous improvement, risk analysis and supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality throughout the entire value chain.

Yannik holds a Master of Engineering in Lightweight Construction and Simulation from Hochschule Landshut and a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Polymer and Plastics Engineering from Hochschule Kaiserslautern. His blend of academic excellence, hands-on technical expertise, and leadership in composites and lightweight technologies provides FlowGen with a strong foundation for innovation and scalability in renewable energy systems.
